As you’d expect both updates include a lot of exciting new features and it will help make your aging devices feel a little bit fresher.

On the iPhone side of things the new dark mode is among the most hyped new features, but there’s a lot more to look forward to besides that one visual tweak. For starters Apple arcade, which is Apple’s new subscription gaming service is now available and according to many people who have got in on the action early it’s looking really promising. If you want to try it out and play some of the new games Apple is offering 1 month of the service for free, after that it will cost you $4.99 a month.

Also if you are a fan of Apple’s Animoji’s that arrived with the iPhone X two years ago, you might enjoy the new Memoji stickers which can be used in messages, mail, FaceTime and third-party apps like Instagram.

There’s of course a lot more to be found in iOS 13 but if you have an Apple Watch your probably looking forward to the new WatchOS features as well. Probably the most notable feature in watchOS 6 is the new built-in App Store. This is an awesome addition to the Apple Watch as it means you don’t need your iPhone to browse and install new apps anymore, and it helps make the Apple Watch a bit more of a standalone device. There are also a few new health features including menstrual cycle tracking and a new hearing health feature that alerts you when you’re being exposed to high decibel levels that could potentially damage your hearing.

You can now ask Siri to identify a song playing or ask a question and it will display web search results that you can scroll through to find what you’re looking for.

Both of these new updates should be available for you to download and install right now, provided you have an iPhone 6s or newer and any Apple Watch besides the very first model from 2015 which is left out of this update. If you’re waiting to update your iPad though you’ll need to wait a little longer as the iPadOS update doesn’t drop until September 30th.
